INEC officials held hostage in Bayelsa State

Yenagoa - Armed youths in Oporoma, the
headquarters of Southern Ijaw local government
area of Bayelsa State on Saturday morning held
officials of the Independent National Electoral
Commission (INEC) hostage, reports The Nation
The INEC officials were about going to their
various polling units for Saturday's governorship
election in the state when the incident happened.
The youths shot sporadically into the air to scare
away everybody.
